Winery review: "This mouthfilling red displays unctuous plum and boysenberry fruit flavors that course along nicely, thanks to lively spice and toasted anise notes, with a strong graphite streak. Fleshy, but excellent acidity is well-embedded on the finish. Drink now through 2015. 4,600 cases made." Sep 2012Rated Top 100 Outstanding Values of 2012December, 2012. "For high quality at low prices, these wines are the world’s best."

My review: This lovely GSM smells of sweet fruit and raspberry and boysenberry.  A very satisfying bouquet. Upon tasting I am struck by a graphite/pencil taste that is hard to ignore. A spicy and fruity flavor lingers below the lead and this wine is very, very satisfying.
